About ConsentAI
Consent AI is an intelligent compliance platform that helps Australian insurance brokers and AFS licensees meet their informed consent obligations for insurance commissions.
Our mission is to make the consent process simple, transparent, and auditable — ensuring every client understands what they're agreeing to, and every broker has reliable records that stand up to scrutiny.
Why We Exist
From July 2025, new obligations under ASIC's guidance require brokers who provide personal advice on general insurance, certain life insurance, or consumer credit insurance to obtain informed consent before receiving a commission.
This consent must be based on clear disclosures — including the commission rate or amount, the insurer and product and the frequency of payments — and must be recorded and retained for compliance review.
For many brokers, this introduces a new operational challenge: how to collect, document, and retain informed consent efficiently without disrupting the client experience.
How Consent AI Helps
- Guided Disclosures – Automatically generate compliant, client-friendly summaries outlining commission details, insurer/product information, and payment frequency.
- Right-Time Capture – Request client consent digitally before issue, sale, or renewal, with built-in reminders for annual renewals when required.
- Secure Evidence & Audit Trail – Store consent records for seven years in a tamper-evident environment, linked to advice files, policies, and compliance logs.
- Withdrawal & Amendments – Record when consent is withdrawn or changed, and automatically alert compliance and servicing teams.
- Integrations – Connect seamlessly with your CRM, broker management platform, and data warehouse through APIs and webhooks.
Our Principles
- Privacy by Design – Every workflow is built with data minimisation, encryption, and transparency in mind.
- Evidence Over Claims – Each consent action is verified, timestamped, and fully traceable.
- Open Standards – Designed to work with your existing systems and compliance processes, not replace them.
